Hi all, a good friend of mine thought it was a good idea to buy me an Everdrive MD as a birthday present. Until today, I have tnever been a big fan of Flashcarts and always prefered the real thing, but I think this might change... Its a very nice item and first of all I want to say Thankyou to Krikzz, the developer of the Everdrive product range !!! Outstanding work! First thing I did was reading the manual. OK, its not that long but it answers some first questions - but I have some more. Here is my set-up: - PAL Megadrive I with Mega CD top loader - Everdrive MD, Rev 2.5, OS 29, FW V13 Actually, the cart was purchased from Tototek and it came with OS23. I thought its a good idea to update and this was no problem at all. So here are my questions: 1. There is this button (SMS Button) on the top of the cart. Sorry, but I have no idea how to use it and for what. Where is this explained? 2. in the cart menue, Megakey is alwas turned OFF. From what I have read, it was my understanding that from board rev. 2.4, Megakey is supported. So why is it OFF for my cart? 3. Many of my (.bin) roms (from GoodGen Set) are recognized as SMS Games. Why? And why don't they start? I also tried to turn off hard reset - no success. Would anybody please be so kind to answer these newbie questions? Thank you very much !!! forbet
1) button for pause in sms mode 2) may be defective cart. allso possible that megakey does not work on some md1 by unknown reasons 3)same thing in OS23 and OS29 ?
Hi, that was fast !!! 1. Pause mode... OK 2. Defective cart...? Hopefully not. Will try another Mega Drive as soon as I can get hold of one (buy a second one...). Should I prefer MD2? 3. Same thing in OS23 and OS29 anything I could try? Where to send the cart in case it IS defective? TOTOTEK?? Thanks for answering... forbet
i preffer md1. i have two md1 systems and megakey works fine on both, but i receive two or three feedback from the people who said that megakey permanently off. please send me one of those ROMs which recognised as sms and does not work, i'll check them. for service you can send to me or to tototek my mail: biokrik@gmail.com
