the console outputs both 50 and 60 hz selectable via software, so there is no hardware mod for that. if the machine is PAL it outputs PAL50 or PAL60, if the machine is NTSC it outputs NTSC50 or NTSC60.

oook and it's impossible to made ntsc region mod from pal console?? So for now the 50/60 hz is useless because n64 also support it natively.
excuse for my bad english, i from italy.

Sorry, I don't know. But if you have a PAL N64, and a PAL Everdrive 64 then you can load and play ROM files from any region, PAL, NTSC, or JAP, provided your TV supports 50 and 60Hz. I'm in England, so I don't know if this is true for Italy, sorry.

The Everdrive 64 is brilliant, by the way, and lets you play all games and game mods for the N64, except for the mods of Super Mario 64, as they don't work on a real N64 because they were programmed for a not very accurate emulator, sadly. You can still play the real Super Mario 64 using an Everdrive and the game ROM, of course.

No. N64 is more like PS1, PS2, Xbox, GC, DC...

To switch 50/60hz you need to tell the game program.

Is that right? Wouldn't a PAL machine just run NTSC games at 50hz?
