have decided to bite the bullet and sell my debug kit, was gonna use it as a dev unit, or glorified media centre, but never got round to it,

it a original green one, with black jewel

    mfg date 2002-02-08

    standard 220/240v uk/European power

has been opened previously, has thomson dvd and standard 8gb western digital hdd

128mb ram, looks pretty much like a v1.0 board inside (apart from the extra ramchips, the lpc port and nvidia chip)

just next to the lpc it says xdk flash / epprom 4038

has the standard xdk dash installed, only extra i ever added was the gueux hack so i could play retail games on it

no discs or acessories included, just standard power and video cables

case is in good condition, few scuff on the top but nothing major

internals are clean, fan on the gpu looks like its never been used!

will only post this to uk as shipping overseas is far too expensive and unreliable (may consider if courier is pre-arranged by buyer)

looking for offers of around £200+ for it with courier delivery at £12 or may consider part trade, part cash

will only accept paypal, unless someone collected it and paid cash (im in the midlands)

if i get a few offers i may send it to auction, but would rather it went to someone who knows what theyre doing with it, am also going be advertising it on xs forums

for refs you can check my ebay account (andysimon) have 1200+ feedback on ebay

no pics at the moment, but will take some later and will pm them to anyone that asks

serious offers only, timewasters will be slapped round the face with ah dead fish

Hey, a slight downer for you. Not sure what you paid for it, but you'll be really lucky to get anywhere near £200 ($400) for a debug kit these days. I bought my last debug, boxed, with accessories, a few silver titles, a few additional extras and P&P for roughly 1/2 that price. Shocking as it may seem they also appear from time to time on eBay and get approximately the same amount as I am suggesting.

Of course I might be wrong, so good luck!

Was just about to say the same thing Parris, xbox debug kits are very easy to get now and the price of them keeps on going down. You might be able to get 200 to 250usd at most for it.

    hi,

    thanks for your posts

in response to barcode's post, the reason i offered it on here 1st is that id rather it was sold to someone who knows what there doing with it rather than the average joe on ebay where it would be wasted

with that said, and having reserched into the price a bit more, i would consider dropping it down to £150, as i paid £200 for it just before christmas and have never actually used it for what i wanted, as was originaly going to use it as a full blowm media centre, but then found out the limitations with it (max of 140gb drive, incompatability with games etc.) and my complete lack of knowlage on how to set it up correctly!

with that said, would there be anyone on the forums who could assist me in setting it up corretly so i could have media centre as a default dash, and how to use a xecuter 3 and x3cp with it?

otherwise it prob will end up on ebay, but as said before id rather it went to someone who could find use with it! (and id post the link on here as well

will keep it for sale on here for a few days, and again on x.s. and hope for the best

    cheers

    andy

Quite honestly, you paid a bit too much for it when you bought it. :(

And for what you want to do, a modded retail Xbox is going to be a lot easier to setup and get going than a debug kit. Current mod chips won't execute on debug kits correctly. If you did want to use a mod chip you'd need to install an *old* first gen chip that didn't have any executable code onboard.

Can it be softmodded? I do a lot of xbox mods and if this can run the SC hack and have a larger HDD on it I may be interested when I get the money.

THe only real reason I would use it over my current ones is because of the 128megs of ram in it.

    hi

as far as i know it wouldnt need to be softmodded as it can already play originals and backups as it is, as for upgrading the harddrive the maximum size you can go to on a devkit is 120gb

    cheers

The debug kit can already run unsigned code off the bat so you can run all of your homebrew and retail games and such, the maxaium size hdd you can use in a dev/debug kit is 137gb,I surprised no one has hacked a original debug bios to accept a larger hdd.I use a 120gb hdd in my retail xbox and its plenty of room for me,but some peeps use 500 and 750gb hdd in there retail.lol

Yeah, I think to assist selling you could attach image(s) of the unit running in XDK and the debug title. Also, not reading the entire thread, but if the unit has NOT been opened you could take an image of the bottom of the unit to show seals in place. My guess is that most people would prefer to see those than worry about space being used on thread for images.

unforunatly it has been opened in the past, and i do have a few pics of it running although the pic is a bit crappy as my decent digicam has decided to die on on me, but you get the idea (i hope!)

You need to provide some refences, like an ebay feedback or similar.

You just don't have enough posts.
