F/S: PS2 Launch Discs (Rare Demos)

Parting with a few pieces from my collection. These are the original demo discs Sony distributed in Japan a month before the launch of the PlayStation 2. Less than 15,000 sets exist, and they were only available by attending Sony's pre-launch PS2 party. The demos include:

Gran Turismo 2000 (First playable demo, 1 track and 1 car. As we all know, this game was subsequently delayed and eventually became GT3. Nice rare piece for a collector though.)

Ridge Racer V (1 track, 1 car, near complete state since RRV was a launch game.)

SFEX3 (Near-complete state since SFEX3 was a launch game.)

Konami Disc (Pawafuru Puroyakyu 7, Gradius III & IV, J-League World Cup 2000)

Golf Paradise (Several holes, nice demo)

Fantavision (Timed demo, great game IMO.)

IQ Remix+ (Several levels)

From Software Disc (Eternal Ring, Evergrace, Armored Core 2)

Koei Disc (Kessen, Shin-sangokumusou, Mahjong)

0 Story (Early demo, novel drama)


Well, there you have it. I've seen these discs sell separately on Ebay for as much as $30. I'm asking $75 for them all (not interested in breaking up the set).

 

I WANT THEM ALL!! I'm looking for AGES for those discs, specially Gran Turismo 2000!!!!

They run normally on any PS2 right? NTSC J format or modded NTSC U/C.

They are used or sealed? the cd's are without scratches?

Anyway, I just don't have the money right now. PLEASE SECURE THEM TO ME! I just paid 35 bucks to Antipasta. And because of the dollar currency in Brazil i have always to multiply prices by 3. So for me the price is 225 Reais, almost the college costs i have in a month!

PS: There is a disc missing in those pics: You posted 10 discs info, but there are 9 discs on the pics.

 

They are used but no scratches. They are original NTSC-J discs, and run fine on a Japanese PlayStation 2. I forgot to take a picture of the RRV disc, sorry about that. I can do it tonight and repost when I get home from work. As for securing them, do you mean hold them?

Depending on how much the shipping to the UK would be, i'd say somewhere between £15 to £25 (as I said depending on shipping though, as I am on a tight budget...but I really like Neverwinter Nights )

Well by college cost i mean the monthly college payment. But i have a 50% scholarship.

I'm not couting copies, books, parking ,...

Johnny: Not really interested in the trade. I do have some other PS2/PSone demo discs though. I haven't gone through all my discs, but off-hand I know I have a Phase Paradox (PS2) demo, and about 10 Dengeki PlayStation / PS2 demo discs (each with 4-5 playable game demos).

 

Ok. Make a list of what you got, with info (what games in those demo discs). maybe i can make a whole package.

But the PS2 Launch demos (all 10) are already MINE. I'll find a way to pay for them. You don't know how happy i am to see those discs. After all those years, i finally found them (well, actually they found me :smt023 )

The 75 dollars price includes shipping?
