What channel (in Tokyo) will the F1 race in Spain be on? I've been trying to find out and I've hit a lot of blanks. I have a standard TV with the standard TV channels but I do have a few cable TV channels too.
Er no, but I did see some F1 races on broadcast TV when I was in Japan last year. Even highlights would be good.
Ah found it. Qualifying at 1:45am Sunday morning Race at 23:50 pm Sunday night I'll be a happy man now, sitting in my Super Aguri t-shirt drinking sake out my Super Aguri mug watching F1 and seeing if SA will outperform Honda again. When I was in America, I missed not being able to see any F1. Had to wait a day or two and torrent the ITV version.
How long ago was that? Far as I know, SPEED Network broadcasts every single race, qualifying, and practice session for quite a number of years now. CBS occassionally will broadcast a race, at which point SPEED then rebroadcasts the following week using their own commentators. Much like yourself, I'm a big F1 fan and look forward to following the World Championship throughout the season.
They do, sadly with the exception of one place I was in (when I happen to be there during the off season), everywhere else had no cable so I had the broadcast channels.
So how about that Super Aguri team! First ever point in the team's history and currently ahead of the Honda factory team in the Constructor's championship totals!!
To say I was mildly please would be an understatement. In Japan they showed lots of pictures of Aguri Suzuki congratulating the team as well as Takuma Sato getting showered in water and something fizzy by the team. Probably one of the best results since Mark Webbers debut 5th in the 2002 Australian GP for the Minardi team and Zsolt Baumgartners 8th in the 2004 US GP also for Minardi.
Heh, indeed. Given how hopeless things looked for SA in its maiden season last year, it's amazing how quickly they've turned things around. They're like the Sega of the F1 world in some ways. It was nice to see, they deserve the success particularly Sato.
Well they did well with the ye olde Arrows chassis they bought off Paul Stoddard just to get it to the grid but they were miles off the pace, but by the last few races they turned it around and Sato was battling the mid field to impress very well. This season they have shown flashes off speed with Satos P10 in the first qualifying and Davidson has done well to get up high in the time sheets in free practice. I can see more points a coming. Be funny if they end up with more points then Honda, as well as the conversation RA107? We'll take our chances with the the SA07...
