Are there many F1 fans on ASSEMbler? If so how do you think things will turn out this year?

After spending all winter thinking that Mclaren would have things sorted ready for the 2009 season i was surprised to see they don't actually seem to be in the top 3 teams this year. Don't get me wrong, i think Lewis will finish the season in the top 6 but he seems to have a lot of compitition this year. The Braun GP team look to be in amazing shape this year and i am seriously considering putting a few quid down on Janson for the title this year. Who would you put your money on this year?

Till 4th Round, these are the ones to look out for: Brawn GP, Williams, Toyota, RedBull and Ferrari (because of KERS)

Mid-field: ToroRosso, BMW Sauber, McLaren, Renault and Force India

McLaren and Renault are in big trouble. The McLaren car has lots of problems estability and not much downforce on the back.

For comparison, Brawn GP with the same engine, is running way faster. Force India on practice laps, are faster too.

Anyway, after the 4th round, with new modifications, most teams will improve even more, and all those teams in the Mid-field can be more competitive.

You saw that Hamilton lied in the enquiry and so got disqualified, right? I don't think he's going to do so well this year, certainly not with that attitude! Allegedly he was told to, and that person no longer has a job.

I want to see Button do well! I hope they don't outlaw this hydrofoil thingumuh or whatever it is!

Yeah was very dissapointed with Hamilton over the whole incident, as for button though i really hope he has a great year after the last couple of years. Would be great if we get a change from the usual Ferrari v's Mclaren battles, This year seems like it could be a lot closer between the midfield and front runners :icon_bigg

If those near the front and in the midfeild can take advantage while the ferrari's and mclaren's are strugling a bit then i think we could see them create a very close championship without it being just the 2 big ones fighting at the top and when we see newer cars later on in the season then it should get even more interesting.

I'd love to see button at least finish on the podeium tommorow becuase that will make this season a good one for him as he has not had too many good points to remember over the last few years although he did have that win in hungary 06 but not much has been that good for him.

Button has won a very intersting race. For the second time pole-position and a win.
The race may have been aborted but in the history-books it is a tick-in-the-box.

What an awesome car Honda has left behind !

Shame that the people behind F1 thought commercially instead on the race itself.

All races used to be in local 14:00 time. But this year they wanted to privilege european countries. Race started at 17:00. Everybody know that regions like Malaysia rains in the late afternoon / early evening almost everyday.

Yes, they killed a fantastic race. Wish i kept sleeping (race started at 06:00 here).

I'm sad about Barrichello. He was 2nd when the whole storm went down, ended up finishing 5th.

What a sad end to an incredible race, Janson's performance right before his first pit stop was just amazing. The race should certainly have started earlier though, it was far too dark near the end. The straight-line pace of the Mclaren was very good, should get interesting when they sortout their downforce problems.

It was a very interesting race and was actually very exciting up untill it was stopped. Button was having a great race after his slightly poor start and he seemed to be getting everything right.

I don't understand the whole issue of the times of the race being changed, they have always raced earlier as far as i can remember and in the end that affected the race because of the rain. I didn't know of any problem with the race times and I certainly don't care what time the races are on becuase i'll still watch them live or as like a few times last season i'll watch the later repeat.

I was proper pissed of with the BBC last week, i missed the live race so went to watch it on BBC iPlayer when i got up. Instead of typing the whole adress for iPlayer i just went to BBC homepage to follow link, and their's a fucking great big picture of Jenson holding the trophy  . From now on i'll never forget to use the iPlayer link in my favourites.
