http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/845/845353p1.html Not so important to many, but there should be a few around here, including myself, that would like to see those tech-wizards at it again, this time on the Wii. Considering their love for whatever Lucas-Arts, there might be high hopes for a Light Saber game, or some Indiana Jones title, or even better, ports of the classic point and click adventure games!(a bit stretched, but one can dream..!)
As a company they really remind me of Argonaut - incredible technical feats (Argonaut's NES and SNES 3d engines), (Factor 5 wrote their own N64 microcode) but seem to be lacking in the game design department.
I still remember when some guy from Factor 5 said the Wii was basically a horrible system (In a LAIR interview, btw :icon_bigg) because it had kiddy graphics. And we all know how "Well" Lair did.
Rogue Squadron IV would be nice, 100% vehicule mission however (spaceship, AT-ST,speederbike) . Foot missions are realy bad and useless in rebel strike... In fact he best thing in rogue squadron III, is that rogue squadron II is playable in coop mode
Factor 5's SFC games were all pretty cool. The Turrican series and Indiana Jaones was nice if not a little hard. They all did something that made you go "wow, that's nice!" not to mention great audio. Yakumo
After the less than acceptable sales on GC titles, I say Factor 5 would be idiots if they dont go back to nintendo now that the Wii is the most succesful console, commercially speaking. But a jedi game? forget it: according to many interviews Lucasarts will be the only one making said game, and it seems they wont give the right to use the lightsaber to any other studio. Why? simple: even when the latest lucasarts-only SW games were crap, a jedi simulator using the wiimote would sell like crazy even if it was below average. Every red-blooded human that has seen a SW wants to hold a lightsaber, therefore a game that mimicks the sensation will sell on hype alone, even if its a bit crap. Lucasarts arent dumb, they want this cashcow for themselves, not some royalties on somebodyelses game...
Yeah, I've played Amiga Turrican and the Mega Drive Turrican (Meag Turrican) as well. Both are good but I prefear the SFC games. Still, I've not seen all their great Amiga titles. One day I'll have to go down the ugly road of emulation to try them out  Yakumo
They are very ambitious but a bit stiff and quite dry in implementation of 3d gaming mechanics. Pilotwings , according to ign, seems like a likely candidate, but apparently Julian whistlen otherwise, but they just can't disclose it yet. I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of Turrican sequel was under the hood =)
Well, a Turrican sequal would be most welcome! They'd have to get Chris Hulsbek (sp?) to do the music for sure. He's well one of the best western game music composers along with Richard Jaqules who does most stuff for Sega Europe. Yakumo
And so we should. We'd be mad not to agree of the skills of those guys  cool. thanks for the link! Yakumo
I bought Lair used the other day. I really can't see where all the bad reviews came from. I think the game was just over hyped, it is fun to play but not out-of-this-world. Factor 5 will really push the Wii I think, considering how good their GC content looked.
