I'm going to simply note before I put anything up on this thread is that if this is in the wrong section or I am not yet able to post in this particular thread, I do apologize in advance. If not, then I hope you enjoy. It's been quite some time since I last posted on the forums in any section, but I wanted to take the time and show off my collection. Granted, my collection is quite small and is nothing speculator as of yet, I am constantly adding to my collection and always finding new ways to display my collection within my room. I primarily collect Nintendo related items and Nintendo games; however, I do have other items in my collection that are directly Nintendo-centric. I started collecting video games and consoles a few years back and since then, I'm pleased with my collection as it stands. I do wish to continue building up my collection and eventually obtain harder to find items/obtain every game for a console. It will take a lot of money but saving my money is the best option for me to reach my goal. Anyway though, this thread is going to be constantly updated with new items that I pick up and recent adjustments. Think of it kind of like a room tour of sorts, but at the same time not really. Anyway, let's get started shall we? Items to worth note: The Guitar Hero 3 PS2 Set and the Virtual Boy which is sitting above the stereo. The Virtual Boy is probably one of the more "expensive" items in my collection considering it does fluctuate in price. It is a complete Virtual Boy package; however, I wanted to display it with the rest of my stuff. Shelves 1 and somewhat of 2. The Wii collection is not the focal point of this collection as 2 of the games I legitimately purchased of the collection's sake. The rest of the games were either gifts from my fiancee and/or party games for the family. I purchased Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros Brawl for my collection; however, the other games were what I stated above. As for the PS2 games, a major part of the PS2 games that I own were the ones I really wanted to purchase; however, I do have friend's that occasionally give me games like Power Drone which I had no desire to buy. Gamecube was mainly by way of a friend donating his games to my collection, some of them like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles are games that I definitely wanted to purchase and add to my collection. As for the handhelds, they were all of my childhood handhelds and ones that I eventually wanted to add to the collection. One thing that is not shown is obviously my 3DS because well... Pokemon Y. Yes... I'm a sucker for "light anime and manga". I don't know what the appeal is to me with manga like K-ON! and Lucky Star but I do enjoy them. Also, the Haruhi books are actually hardcover text adaptations of the manga. Quite an interesting find but as for my collection, the DS/3DS games are very minimal. I do own Pokemon Y and Heart Gold which is CIB but the other games are either by Konami or first party games. My 3DS collection is mainly all digital copies. Better view of the second shelf. The CDs on the third shelf are mainly a bunch of old CDs that don't have cases and there is one PS2 game on the top. These CDs really have no importance other than just storage and using them as a prop of sorts. Things to worth note is the stack of Atari/Colecovision games and the mass of iPhone boxes I've collected over the years. An interesting note is that I still own all of those iPhones but they are not currently in said boxes. A lot of my old iPhones are actually either in my closet or in storage in a box from the move. Also you can somewhat see the NES Track and Field floormat. It does work surprisingly since it was in the basement of our old house for a long time! Something else to note is that not all of my Nintendo 64 games are on display, I have my release ones and the best games in my collection in a container on my desk which I'll be showing later down the thread. Better view of the games on the first shelf plus my PS3 games. Super Famicom games. Seiken Densetsu 2 is complete in box and is in like new condition and I've actually never played this cartridge. Imported the game straight from Japan and I have yet to play it, kind of odd but I want to keep it in the best condition as possible. As for Chrono Trigger, I've played the game since I never played it as a child but I am enjoying playing through it now since it's readily available for me to play. http://imageshack.us/a/img33/1783/hmzg.JPG Childhood guidebooks and guidebooks that I've recently purchased. Some of them didn't make it through the several moves we did (grandmother moving to 2 different apartments and our move to her apartment that she lived in before she passed away) but it's mainly damage to the spine. It is upsetting to see some of them in such horrible condition on the spine and perhaps the covers but they can still be used and that's all that matters to me until I get around to replacing them. These aren't in IMG tags simply due to the fact that I uploaded it the wrong way and I'm just too lazy to fix it at this point. Super Nintendo games and plus a better view of the Atari/Colecovision games. Fun note, the game that doesn't have a label once did but the glue kind of wore off being packed with some of the other games. It's Donkey Kong for the Colecovision/Atari. Gameshark Pro for the Nintendo 64 almost complete in box. Picked this up at a Hobby Shop for 20 dollars (USD) since my friend still has my childhood copy. The only thing that doesn't make this a complete in box item is the fact that it didn't have the VHS that came with it in the packaging which is a bit upsetting but I couldn't pass up the offer. Better view of the NES Trackpad and the iPad First Generation box. Nothing too much else than that. My original release Nintendo 64 and the console portion of my collection. This image shows what I stated plus the Platinum GameCube plus the Nintendo Wii (Wii Sports Pack-In Variant). Better view of the Platinum GameCube plus my Super Nintendo with Super Mario All-Stars. You couldn't see it in the picture a bit upwards but I do own it complete in box. Famicom Twin with Super Mario World (Last game I just beat with 96 Exits yesterday) and Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt plus my VCR/DVD combo set. These aren't readily being displayed but I do own NES games despite how shitty some of them are to how great some of the titles are. The cases are still a mystery though because I haven't been able to find anything about them! Command central aka my desk. The container on my desk is the best Nintendo 64 games in my collection that I can come back and play at any time. Eventually I will get around to showing all of the games but for now, take some wild guesses! Fun note once more, my PC is built around emulation/gaming plus video editing. I chose not to include the 70 some games that I own on Steam because... well they are digital copies. My setup right next to my desk for playing Nintendo 64 and NES when the other TV is being occupied. I'd like to eventually get all of it setup to one box but I want to wait until I get my new TV. The game inside is the Japan-only copy of Super Mario 64 Shindou Edition. Boxes upon boxes for my consoles. I still need to get boxes for the SNES and the NES but that day will soon come. Behind all of it is the enormous Virtual Boy box. Also, the stuffed animals do have relevance as they were my grandmother's for the most part. A lot of the bears and stuff were actually hers before she passed away and it's the only place where our kitten won't destroy them since she can't readily get up there. Not to mention some of them are anniversary gifts from my fiancee. More boxes plus my release packaging for the Nintendo 64 I got on release. As of now, my collection is an unorganized cluster on the outside but I do have intentions on changing that up when I update this next. I just wanted to give you guys a look into my collection a little bit even though it's small. I will be updating this topic quite often because i am constantly buying things to add to my collection. I'm still in the stage of post-moving blues where I want to get rid of old furniture for new furniture so the room will constantly be changing until I'm content with the way it looks.
Yes sir. I do have my share of VHS tapes. Granted, I don't have as many as some people but I do enjoy having them even if they are a pain in the ass.
