Ok, I caught this video when searching for anime. I had to install Japanese text to see some of the characters in the title and you may have to as well. Move the post if it doesn't belong here. I think it could be fake because haven't we all seen anough of the same footage?

BTW, it's poor @ss quality video which is why I think it could be an old E3 video.

P.S. Is Michael Jackson still popular in Japan?

 

Personally it looks pretty real to me.

At first I thought someone exchanged the background, but you can see he has access to the debug menu (using the second controller it seems, common with debugs!) and this debug menu is definately different from the one in the leaked biohazard 2 beta from long ago, it has less options.

 

How do you use the second controller in biohazard 2? And what does it do? (By the way, is that what's happening at about 2:50?)

At 8:55 you can see the door to the morque twitch and then a zombie crawls out. That looks cool. I just wish I could see it in true color. Damn LCD screen.

HA! At 2:00 I see a BioHazard controller in the corner of the room. There was one on ebay too.

 

the debug menu only works in the beta, you activate it by pushing select (in later builds its commonly moved to the second controller)

it allows you to do several things, but in the "leaked beta" only the jump option works:



and yeah, i just finished watching that video. it still seems real, but then again im not a big biohazard fan and dont know much. i noticed that it seems to display the room or map name in the bottom right corner when he changes rooms. im pretty sure the final does not do that. lets wait for dot50cal or some other biohazard freak to enlighten us on this video :nod:

Btw, The guy who made that video is called Forever6502 (Read at the end of video) and if you google that you see he has made some posts in the past on japan BBSes.

This video is real, in some psx betas you had to use the second controller to enter the debug menu, so there's nothing wrong with it. The only bad thing is that there's no sound and the image quality is really bad, but other than that it's perfect!

 

Well, I rated it 5 stars either way. I got that stupid song in my head. Although I suppose both are fitting.

the only flaw is when the beta boots up it says scea and if you have a modchip it loads whatever region the disc is and I doubt capcom would burn a jap beta to us region code

Looks real, only good things can come from this. Seems like the disc did pass through a number of hands. The fact that this guy is trying to cash in will make the others who bought it nervous. Not paying 9k for it though, thats just stupid. Especially when you consider more than one person owns this.

 

btw, I thought about this. The scea doesn't mean it's a us disc, it means its a ntsc u/c system with chip. A proper debugging system wouldn't display that SCEA symbol at the bottom.

 

I say its real. But most like he used a modchip to boot it. Plus I doubt he would go through the trouble to make the lcd have that shadow effect when looked at a certain angle.

 

He should be punched in the face for putting that horrible music on the video, as well as doing the "look at my hands, see nothing behind the unit" like some training magician or something.

Would have been nice to see the disc too, probably nothing more then a crappy CD-R.

 

The SCEA indeed means nothing. Its set by the console. The text above it is set by the media, and it says the correct "Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.", which means Japan. So yeah, its a chipped console.

 

Ok, one other thing is bothering me. In the corner of the room is a yellow box with the words SEGA. But I see a playstation symbol on it. When did Sega start making games for playstation?? I didn't think they supported PS1 at all unless that's a ps2 thingy.

BTW, that freakin music as annoying as it is, it's catchy. I have been singing the first song all day long (you sexy thing) and have been watching other Thriller videos on youtube (and watching the original MJ on VH1.com)
