Hey, I fired up my Famicom 3D system (Nintendo version) & tried to play with 3D hot rally. The glasses don't seem to work. I've tried on both an LCD & CRT tv's. It simply doesn't seem like the shutters are working at all. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this as I have no tools (multimeter, etc). My buddy has some though, so I can get access to them. One thing is that I don't have the original AC adapter for my famicom (twin fami). It asks for a 7.6V 1.25A +Center. I'm only giving it 7.5V. will the .1V make that much of a difference? Games are running fine... I also don't have any other peripherals to test the expansion slot with... It would help if I could get some technical details on how this thing works, like what does the monitor refresh rate need to be, etc... Any ideas, or am I out of luck on this one?
7.5V is fine, the .1V won't make a difference as long as the PSU is supplyng at least 1.25Amps. Not sure about 3D Hot Rally, but in the Squaresoft games, JJ and Highway Star you have to press select to get 3D mode else the glasses will not work. If the screen is flickering with two pictures and the glasses are not working then I can tell you what to check but if the interface is dead then if might be unrepairable.
