Pretty cool little device. It's a region free PAL/NTSC DVD player that will play Famicom ROMs saved to DVDs. I opened it just to check it out and see if it works and there weren't any problems. It's the type of DVD player that will play anything you put in it. Box, instructions, remote, cable, etc are all included. I can probably get more if more than 1 person wants them.

Price is $99, shipping is $68 to the US and $78 to Europe via EMS. Airmail is $62 to both coutnries.

I've got one of them as well but by a diffrent maker. Smaller too. The one I have has a VGA out. Never use it though since I have a much nicer DVD player connected to the TV. $99 isn't too bad mind you.

Do they just use NES on a Chip/Genesis on a Chip designs? Or do they have their own more accurate designs or use some kind of emulation? Just curious.

Just a system on a chip. I use Mega Drive controllers on the one I have on the few occasions I actually used it.

Ya, I'd like to know what mappers it supports as well. And if it takes iNES standard ROMs or something else. Although a Genesis ROM player/DVD player would be far more interesting to me. Still, too much for me to bother though.

Anyone have one of the older VCD player/famiclones? Horrible emulated crap on the three I own & the others I've been told about, these seem much more like it!

Are these things really worth it? I came across one these days...

It didn't said if it was Genesis, Famicom, or whatever. Just "DVD Player + Games".

I downloaded a Famicom ROM from a website, burned it onto a DVD, and it worked. I tried with a SNES and a Neo Geo Rom but no dice...

I picked this up for about $75 here with shipping. I thought there would be more interest but now I'm just looking to get my money back and move on...

Famicom DVD players emulate, the earlier Mega Drive players have SoCs.
