I'm looking for some new games for my Famiom. Unfortunately a lot of Famicom games are very difficult and have no password or save option. Games like SuperC or Adventure Island are great, but too difficult for me.

However Splatterhouse for the Famicom was a great game. It wasn't too difficult for me and it has a password system, so you can stop playing and continue the other day. Are there any other games with a similar difficulty or password/save features and which are good?

I'd be happy about some good suggestions

That wasn't a problem for me. The best feature is the password option in my opinion. I don't want to start at level 1 again and again;-)

I really liked SplatterHouse which is probably obvious seeing how I hacked it to use the Nintendo MMC3 mapper instead of its Namcot 106 mapper. Very fun though short game.

If you're looking for new games, just get a list of every Konami VRC series game and those are good. Kid Dracula seemed fun to me. There is Bio Miracle too. And plenty more.

Let's see if I can pull out some oddities here:

Duck Tales - No save/pass system, but not overly difficult or too long.
Low G Man - Passwords. The last stage is hard as hell, but you can see the ending using passwords.
Castlevania II - Passwords. Underated in my opinion, but much more adventure based than any of the other classic CV's.
Dick Tracy - Passwords. Can be fun if you like the style of gameplay (sidescrolling stages, but top-down traveling).
Gunsmoke - No save/pass system, but a nicely paced vertical scroller.
POW - No save/pass, but a good sidescroller with cheats.
River City Ransom - Double Dragon with passwords and leveling. Best brawler on the NES.

Ninja Ryukenden 3; isn't as hard as the previous parts of the series, but it's a good game to test your skills ;) , and the Famicom versión has passwords.

I assume that yoy have played all of Rockman's games; many people say that they're hard, but I think that the only ones that are really hard are the first and the second.

The bomberman series is great, and not overly hard.
