    Are there any available third party ppu or CPU replacement chip for the Famicom?

    Yes, but I wouldn't recommend them. They work, but you will end up with graphic errors and the audio is not the same. UMC UA6528 is the PPU and UMC UA6527 is the CPU. These are the chips commonly found in clone systems.

    6527 is NTSC. 6527-P is PAL
