    Hi Everyone,

So I was watching a Youtube video of the game called Ninja Hattori Kun and I noted that the sound was really nice.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px-bXXEMAB4

This this sound being generated by some Emulator with special settings? Or is it being produced by a specially modified Famicom console?

    Thanks!,

Sounds like someone put a light echo/chorus type effect on it. Or maybe the way the audio was recorded has something to do with it. I dunno.

Perhaps this is how it actually sounds. I've never heard of the game so I dunno.

Ya, I sounds like what you described. Regardless, it sounds pretty nice. Hopefully it was done using some off-the-shelf emulator so grabbing audio captures would be easier.

It sounds like they just had EAX settings on their soundcard. Sound Blaster Audigy cards have options like that.

Are you talking about the sound it makes when he jumps? It doesn't seem to apply to the music, so it can't be an added effect.

My guess is that it must be some Emulator setting of some kind. Though, I have no idea what that could be, or what Emulator is responsible.

Ah. Too bad I don't have a sound card that supports that. I guess if it's really what's responsible for it then I guess I'm out of luck. Thanks for all the help guys/gals!

Yes, but if that were the case then the music would be altered as well, and it isn't. The music sounds like a normal NES game.

The music and sound effects use the same NES sound channels, they are not separate things.

Again I really think it's just EAX settings. If you have EAX you could play around and try to figure out what he was using. Also a member that speaks the youtube user's language could always try messaging him and asking.

It's probably an Emulator thing, I doubt anybody would video capture a Famicom. Or the video could of been edited..
