Ive recently purchased an AV Japanese Famicom toploader and im trying to use my N8 NES everdrive cart in the console with an adapter purchased from Ebay but I keep getting crashes or graphic corruption/errors (im using a stepdown converter with the famicom official power supply and the everdrive works fine im my PAL NES). Anyone else had this issue, is there anyway around it other than buying a famicom everdrive?

Many of these cartridge adapters don't work with all cartridges. You might assume it should be no big deal but games like Castlevania III often don't work through these cheap adapters you find today. Certain signals aren't passed through as they should be. CIRAM /CE and/or PPU /A13 may be wired incorrectly. They should just pass these signals through but with clones and cheap adapters they often are tied to another signal on the board instead.

It is possible to modify these adapters to fix this. A quick search turned up this which might be applicable to you adapter.
