I bought a Famicom Twin system off ebay "untested" recently.
It arrived looking like the dirtiest thing you'd ever seen, was able to clean that up a bit...
Inside looked ok, I didn't expect it to actually work, not the disk system part at least, so
I took it apart to clean first, but when I got to the disk drive, i was surprised to see an
intact belt on it, and it was transparent too, very weird.
Put it back together, famicom part works, disk system did not, so I took it apart again,
turns out that whoever tried to repair this thing before me lost a screw and 2 springs,
or I suspect he intentionally kept em because the ones he removed seems to be such
that it can still function without them, which is annoying.
The drive belt seems fine, but it turns out he assembled it incorrectly putting the arm
that reads the disks below the harnas so that a disk could never fit inbetween.

Correctly assembling it makes it at least function, it used to not even try to read disks
    ( because it couldn't ).
Now I'm getting error 22's though. So I guess I need to adjust the spindle...

Another issue that arose is that the p1 controller at least only partially works, start
and select work, at least one of the buttons work, and only the up direction on the
D-pad works ( and if you press real hard, you'll sometimes move a pixel left ).

Not sure what to do about that.

    EDIT
Adjusting the spindle worked fine, it now properly reads disks again.
    Now to tackle that controller.
