Hey guys, I started thinking about this game last night and went over to GameFAQs to check out any secrets and such but to my amazement there's no information on one handy little cheat. I played this game in the 90s on an unlicensed NES, from what I can tell there are two versions one with 250 stars and another one with 100. The game is quite challenging and unique, a platformer with puzzle elements that remind me of Resident Evil. I never quite finished the game until much later, couldn't figure out where to use two items but I got quite close to the end. So one day I showed the game to my brother and in like 5 minutes of playing he accidentally pressed select while picking up a fruit and from there on the spider enemies in the game couldn't hurt Dizzy anymore. The trick is to take about 1/3 or even half of damage from any enemy. Spiders are the closest. Pickup any fruit and while Dizzy is eating it, the damage bar will start going back to 0 or disappear altogether, push select before it completely disappears and you will not take any damage from spiders. Can't quite remember if Dizzy takes damage from other enemies will nullify this but you can do it again, as long as there's fruit around. There you go, hopefully someone will find this useful. There's also a Mega Drive version of this game with improved graphics but NES one is much dearer to my heart <3 Some of the mini games were tricky and I even had a map drawn of the whole mine cart section so I wouldn't lose precious lives by taking the wrong turn.
im familiar with dizzy. i know it was popular over in the UK for the spectrum and other units. but i do know the company would legit bootleg their own games constantly.
