Fat ps3 needing help with it.

Like the title said need a little help with a ps3 problem. I got it through trade and I new it had a issue. I fixed said issue and it was working alright then I herd a small pop when putting it back together and now the disk drive won't pull in a game. So I bought a used blu-ray drive off ebay and I took off the old board and the laser and placed them into the used one (which the problem with it was the laser any way that's why I pulled the laser), which is now doing the same thing. When I held in the eject button on the ps3 to reset the drive it does like the old (which I forgot to mention this part previously) it makes a loud squealing noise and then stops. I took the drive apart to see what was making the noise and seen the motor that pulls in the game tries to go but don't this was the same problem with he old one as well. I am starting to think there is something wrong with the blu-ray board and that's what that pop was. I'm thinking it was a capacitor or something. Hopefully someone can help me on here, I heard about this place through another forum.
