So it seems the Feet of Fury homebrew game for Dreamcast similar to Dance Dance Revolution developer has released the source code for the game. Apparently he says it is not enough to build a new release of the game, but says it might be of use to people? I guess there might be enough here to release mods of the game at least?

Anybody here that is a coder can please take a gander at this?

If anybody wants to see what this game is like here is a quick demo video.

Hey that's really nice move from the developper.

From what I've understood from the post they made, there are decryption keys missing for the songs because of licensing/rights issues. IIUC, this could serve as a good skeleton for a total conversion at least.

Yeah encryption was the issue from what I understood also when I looked at it, but if this means at the very least mods could be possible, then hell, that is really awesome of them for releasing the source. Kudos to them.

I can foresee total conversion mods wherein people release packs where we could rip our own music from our owned music discs or something and build mods for the game. I am a HUGE fan of Trance music, would be great to see some electronic music mods for it. I don't own any dance mat, but I would play it with D-Pad for damn sure. Would make for a fun drinking game.

Pretty awesome for them to do this. I still have the original in my collection. Will be helpful for developers for sure.

God, I remember when this game was a new release. What was that, like 16 years ago?
