'' I know Yakumo reviewed this on youtube but I haven't seen this variant anywhere. I got a Russian variant off AliExpress, the box was different and on the top of the console in the top left it has the Genesis logo but says "RETRO GENESIS" and the bottom right has white text that says "HD 2.4GHZ WIRELESS" The bottom sticker has a sticker that says "GAMES16.RU", the box had a sticker from the seller saying to leave 5 stars and message him and he'd give me a 50-in-1 multi cart. Hard to pass that up, so I did. He responded by telling me to open the expansion port - and snip the white wire. Now when you boot it up with no game, it has a "GAMES16.RU" splash screen with the Retro Genesis logo (and the same "SMACK" sound as the Radica genesis plug and plays). It has mostly russian hacks.
Do you have the AliExpress link? Can you take a picture of the motherboard? Strange that you have to cut a wire to access the built-in games. The games16.ru site has some pictures and list of games.

I imagine there's a glob top and the wire was telling it to go directly to the cart slot. Common in clones, cutting the wire stops the short. Interesting way to boost your seller rating haha
