I don't know why this is so hard to find. I need a save from Final Fantasy VII for US PSP, PSN version. I was hoping for a save that has everything in the gold saucer unlocked. I want to play the games in the arcade but don't want to play the entire game though again just to get it. I'm using the save on a PS Vita so it has to be the PSN version of FFVII, not a homebrew popsloader version.

AFAIK, getting saves on the Vita is considered impossible. The Vita's hacking/homebrew state is still quite early as many of the loopholes have been already patched.

I'm at or near Gold Saucer at the moment, haven't played for a few weeks so I can't remember where exactly. Playing the PSN version, using CFW so I can probably pull the save for you.

Well, I just learned through google search that ps1 saves are encrypted so they don't work on other systems unless they have cfw. So that explains why I couldn't find any saves for this game. They are useless on non-modded systems. Thanks for the offer tho.

Crypted huh? Weird... Thought they would be normal PSP saves but hidden or uncopyable...

I dont know about the PSN version but converting savestates to TN-V on PSV/PSTV is perfectly possible. It works exactly like a CF on PSP.

Popsloader is not the emulator, its an outdated plugin to change the version of the emulator. The emulator is internally called pops, as far as we know.

PS1 saves should transfer fine on not only OFW PSP but on Vita as well.
Simply transfer as you would a PSP save.

PS1 saves should indeed transfer just fine. Alternatively, you can get an official memory card adapter and a PS1 memory card to import save to a PS3, then transfer to Vita (or vice versa if you want them on an actual PS1), so if there IS encryption (which I didn't think there was), it should be gone by the time it hits a PS1 memory card. If I remember correctly, you can also transfer from PS3 to USB and vice versa, too, so you should be able to just get a PS1 NTSC-U save, stick it on a USB drive and chuck it into a PS3, then transfer (or try using CMA. Not sure if that'll transfer). If you don't have a PS3, then it should be a bit trickier.

Current 3.36 firmware supports some PSP-mode hacks, though, and some of the games are still available on PSN if you don't have them, so if you absolutely have to hack it to sort it out (MIGHT be necessary without a PS3 - I'm not sure, off the top of my head), it's fairly easy (although the amount of different hacks, methods and exploitable games are terribly catalogued at best).

Well, I'm willing to try out MechaGouki's save then just to see if it would work. So please upload it if you got it.

The link to the save file is dead. Most of them are. I've been searching google a few hours and found 1 save that works in my ps vita. http://ps3endusers.blogspot.com/2012/09/vetta-hacks-ff7-ps-vita.html

It works on non hacked vitas so it's possible to upload saves for others to use. But the guy says he used sony's tools to do it so who knows if anyone else can do it. Maybe he just means he needs sony tools for hacking the save.

That "VETTA" guy is more full of himself then I am. :/
All he did was gameshark some cheats on a PS1 then transfer to PS3 which then lets you copy to PSP/Vita

BTW the Vita pops is 1:1 with the PSP 6.60 pops and even runs in a striped down ePSP like the rest of PSP games(sepped the sripped down part).

When dealing with either PS1 or PSP on the Vita just think of it as it were a PSP since for those types of games it essentially is.
In fact its emulated PSP is hardware based what with it having the PSP's MIPS CPU.

Moo was able to get my save working, I don't know what he did, but I just sent him the unaltered save folder from my PSP Go and he was able to access the saves.

Perhaps psp didnt allow you to use other peoples ps1 saves or something. That's the only thing I can come up with why there are no PS1 PSP saves on gamefaqs. The Vita I have lets you use other peoples ps1 psp saves without any hassle.

Wait, I thought PS1 saves were identical on PSP to the original versions? So couldn't you just download the PS1 save? Last I checked, you didn't need a specific PSP version of it. Therefore, you should be able to just go to GameFAQs and download a regular PS1 save then use that. PS1 saves aren't locked to a specific account or console, last I checked. Even MagicGated PS2 saves aren't very troublesome.
