http://ff7.ocremix.org/ 4 discs worth of Final Fantasy VII remixes. I haven't really played the game or know much music from it but I'll be damned it's bloody good :thumbsup:.
Eh, saw it the other day. Some of the songs are really good, but some of them sound nothing like the original or screw it up. Granted, I think ocremix has always been a bit elitist and put up stuff that sounds nothing on what it was based on...
the thing is, Overclocked Remix "remixes" are NOT remixes. But covers/tributes of the original tunes. But they do sound like the gametunes, they are just arranged, so they don´t have the "sound" from the game itself. when I make remixes, then they ARE remixes, since I take the original song, and mix it with effects, such as drums bowwow stuff, bass effects and so forth. That is why I make remixes, and not covers. I hope that clears it
True, although I always find it funny when a song on there is listed as a cover/remix/arrange of a particular song, and then have but maybe 10-25 seconds of the original somewhere in a 5 minute song. There are some good ones on there, but some that are "ehh". Granted, the online video game music sites have all been declining in recent times. vgmusic used to be much more active, but is now lucky to get a couple of songs every few days (and even then it is very rarely new games). vgmix went down about, what, 2 years ago and has broken its relaunch date several times (Love how they took it down to improve the site, and then it just sort of goes down the crapper with no explanation on what is going on and most people moved on). Newgrounds is pretty much the only other major site for it now, but you have to wade through the crap to find the good stuff. Oh, and sorry if this went a little off topic. I did like the Black Wing Metamorphosis remix of One Wing Angel they had up there. I may be misreading, but I can't find "Those choosen by the planet" on the list. Does it go by a different name or something?
