    Hey Everyone,

Is there any programs out there that can take a folder with many directories under it, and efficiently allocate them into groups for copying onto HD's of limited space?

As an example, you have 100 folders, and your HD can only hold 20gb worth of data. Is there a program that can figure out what groupings of those folders would best fill the most available space on the drive?

I've never seen anything like that as far as organization software goes. An alternative would be to set up a JBOD ("just a bunch of disks") volume using the smaller disks. Your system would treat the group of HD's as a single one with the combined space. You can do it under most RAID controllers or by setting up a spanning volume under Windows.
