There is something highly amusing about media pirates complaining about other media pirates not having a sense of "fairness." Heh. Why should the masses have any problem with leeching a movie that was stolen in the first place? Sure, they're "stealing" your bandwidth if they're not sharing and you're seeding, but unless you own the copyright to the film you're no better. Those that complain about leechers should look inward before throwing stones. "No honor among thieves." -hl718
I got them, I'm bout to watch it when I get home :smt023 I get mad when people are aggravated that others don't seed, but when it comes time to do their part they skimp out.
Why are you people talking about cam versions? Advent Children is an OAV, i.e. it's not being released in cinemas!
Doesn't mean it wasn't taped with a camcorder from a screening or something. I have a camcorder job of the original RE movie, complete with camera hoods and boom mic's in view, no sound effects, original zombie actor groans etc. Very early screening before final print by the look of it.
It looks gorgeous, but that didn't keep the first Final Fantasy movie from sucking. I'll probably wait for the English release. I don't have the patience to download the whole thing, not to mention the fact that there hasn't been a fan sub yet.
Those who appeal to the concept of corporate copyright ownership should reevaluate their standards of justice. Doesn't really keep this one from sucking either. ...word is bondage...
Yeah, I thought about downloading it for a second and then I thought "OH WAIT!! I'M GOING TO DO THIS NOVEL NEW THING CALLED BUYING THE PRODUCT AND PAYING THE CREATORS FOR THEIR WORK!" But bad news for all of you (any of you?) fans waiting for the legit English release - it's apparently been pushed back again, to January this time.
AFAIK, there was one theatrical screening... in Japan, where only famous people got to see it. I don't see one of them filming w/ their albeit high tech and small camera.
I meant like internal screenings, where they watch through the film, go through editing changes, things like that. Usually it is done in a small cinema type room.
It's not just pirating, its BT in general. Right now I'm downloading SUSE 9.3 from the official site, with a download of 7 kbs and a upload of 43. People are just mean and greedy.
koolkid to the RESCUE! Well this certainly developed since last night. Yes koolkid13 you're exactly right. BitTorrent wasn't made for the express purpose of illegal filesharing. It was made (like Freenet) to offer people a free means of sharing copyright neutral, public-domain and open-source materials (as well as a proof-of-concept). People who don't share no matter what it is should not be benefiting from the BT infrastructure since they do not contribute to it. ~Krelian P.S.: I dare ANYONE to find my IP downloading it, quite simply I'm not.
I wish that were true, but it most likely won't happen. I worked at my Gamestop job last Friday and took a few preorders for it, and the release date was set in our computers as sometime in the middle of November. Saturday I show up to work again, and am looking up the exact release date for a customer, when I see that it's been pushed back to January 6th, 2006.
