Bought a copy of this off of eBay. Disc seemed visually fine. I tried it in my PS2, didn't boot. Same for my MM3 PlayStation, quick clean made it work perfectly on the PlayStation but on my PS2 it takes 42 seconds to boot.

Now you might suggest my CD laser performance is lacking, but everything else boots instantly.

I ran a disc integrity check using ImgBurn which returned no faults and I even made a disc image and burned it to a CD-R - this booted instantly.

A friend tried to boot his copy in his modded PS2 and said it didn't boot at all. Very strange.

Was wondering if anyone else has experience anything like this, or maybe it just needs a resurface?

    My PS2 is a DTL-H30101 E. Cheers.

That's just one of the very few PS1 games that will not work on a PS2.

I'm not fussed about playing it, and my PS2 does boot it - it just takes 42 seconds to as I said.

If it is a common error then in glad, I was just worried my PlayStation 2 might have something wrong with it, though that seemed unlikely given it booted everything else.

Thanks for the responses though! Interesting this.
