http://poematocx.com/ff6t/ Final Fantasy VI T-Edition is an expanded version of the classic Super Nintendo game, offering bosses and enemies in addition to the regular content. This means a bigger side-quest where you can fight the Mist Dragon, fight Goblins, and journey through the GBA-exclusive dungeon. So far it is Japan-only, but Tomato and Poe aim to fix that. They are translating it on the fly and will stream it in a serious of episodes on Twitch. Though VI isn't my absolute favorite Final Fantasy Game, it's a tossup between V and IX, it's damn awesome, and this project sounds pretty cool.
This mega patch is freakin' awesome! So they translated it live while playing. But will there be an english translation patch be available soon? On their site there are no infos about this.
Meh...... A ROM hack? ....... j/k I'm interested if it's that extensive...... Like that Rockman 4 Minus Infinity romhack.....
I think my favorite thing about this patch is the additional soundtracks for fighting some of the optional boss. There is also a hidden music player option in the game by going to the menu and pressing the A button on Sound settings. For example you can hear the battle them from Unlimited Saga in this. Then I think somewhere in the game they even add the option to let some of the characters switch costumes.
To be fair, if I could pay these guys to translate Saturn games full-time, I probably would, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Okay, that sounds really cool.
Reading the website it seems to be a stream in they try to translate in realtime. Not really an effort to make a translation patch for the romhack.... Now I'm really sad.
This looks pretty impressive. It would definitely give me a reason to play through VI again, being its in my top 3 FF games along with VIII and IX. At first it looked really similar to the GBA version, but it looks as if its a lot more expanded.
