    :dance::dance::dance:

Final Fight and Magic Sword are coming to XBLA/PSN!

Right, time to start pestering Capcom about a Power Stone Collection release on PSN.

A Powe Stone Collection on PSN/XBLA would be sweet.

Power Stone is way over rated IMO. Had both on the Dreamcast but just never got in to the mad WTF is going on game play. now Final Fight Double Impact on XBLA is something well worth getting. This will be my first XBLA download that's not a demo :D

I am definitely getting it. The online play should add to it.

Destrega and Tobal did what Power Stone did and probably better.

That said I'm a HUGE Final Fight fan. I'll be grabbing this I hope an arranged soundtrack is part of the package.

they're very dumb, since magic sword wasn't near a sequel to Final Fight as Knights of the Round would had been. also it seems that they still using that eagle-filter. hope that can be switched off.

I must admit that I've been confusing Magic Sword with Knights of the Round  I've played both, but not for many years. MS is a fun game but all this time I really thought we were getting two side scrolling beat 'em ups.

Double Impact is finally out! Yesterday on Xbox and today on PSN. I'm just waiting for the UK store to update at some point this afternoon; should be there by the time I've picked up the kids from school.

Apparently there's online multiplayer if anyone with a PS3 wants to have a playthrough at some point. :yatta:

Classic, Smooth, Crisp or Arcade Monitor setting for scaling.
Full screen, zoom, custom or Cabinet Mode (which is pretty cool) screen size
    Original or new sound track

Full arcade mode with scanlines and fish eye effect on the monitor is a really nice touch. There is online co-op if anyone is up for it. Overall I'm rather impressed, and I haven't even started on Magic Sword yet...

Capcom: You've done really well with this release. Now, about Knight of the Round....

    £7.99/€9.99 and well worth it.

As you go through the game there are challenges that you have to complete to unlock items in the 'Vault': concept artwork, flyer/cabinet art, a couple of comics (Haggar and SF Turbo: SF vs FF) and a secret video which is too awesome for words.....

There's also a Vault for Magic Sword, but I haven't got that far yet. Just had a nice co-op game on FF with someone though.

Let's hope they keep releasing stuff like that. And make other companies see that a quality product is all that matters.

I've been playing FF all evening, certainly brought back some memories of hanging out in the chip shop. I swear it runs at 1080p though. Anyway, great effort but let down severely by a lack of configurable controls. Lucky for me VSHG's have [] and X set out like that, but all other sticks end up like this:
    []
    X

Not good IMO. You should have been able to set the extra joy too. Even SFC allowed that.

If they don't update the sprites Capcom should be drug out to the streets and shot.

    EDIT:
Okay, so there's a scanlines mode? Capcom aren't as dumb as I thought. So why does Super Puzzle Fighter IIX "HD" looks so awful? Might have to buy these.

    EDIT AGAIN:
Sorry, deal breaker. Even on the XBLA one?

Think one of the reasons why this port package feels so different from/better than certain other releases (from various companies) is because this meta-emulated beast wasn't done by the people at Backbone, but rather the chaps at Proper-Games (nice name. They're the Flock developer, fyi.)

I've only given Magic Sword a proper spin for the money so far, and I'm very pleased.
Also, the use of GGPO for netcode is kinda nice (with a lag/frame slider and everything <3)

But, yeah, for those using pads, I don't see a need for the button config, but if you're using a stick, I could see that as a necessity (to keep things on the same "row")

Bloody typical. It's not released in Japan. We really do get shafted on 360 Arcade titles here. But not to worry. I've downloaded the demo from my emergency UK account and then will unlock the full game on my JPN account

Not sure what's up with the LIVE release schedules these days. A week without a new XBLA game (caused by Zeno Crash's delay?), more games not getting Japanese releases at the same time as the rest of the world, items not appearing on Marketplace.xbox.com or on specific regional marketplace listings until late at night... etc...

Seems like ever since the ZUNE update came out, updates on the marketplace have become increasingly sloppy and careless (Gears of War 3 info leak says hi, to name another)
