Finally got a Non-TMSS Sega Genesis Model 1 but it's a VA2 and distorted sound on headphone jack

Hey guys, I finally got a Non-TMSS High Definition Graphics VA2 Sega Genesis model 1 here and it works fine, but the sound is a little quiet on mono when not using the headphone jack when i use RF and when i use the headphone jack for stereo on my speakers, My sound is very loud, heavily distorted. What could be wrong? It is a Yamaha 2612 although, but it has good video, no rainbow banding. Is it the capacitors or what? I tried my VA6 with the same speakers and it's sound is fine and it's louder. What could be the problem here?
