http://www.nma-fallout.com/ Note that this is actual gameplay, not the trailer that was released earlier. Few details from the article: -Can be played in first person, or a over the shoulder view (Like RE4) -World is gigantic, although not as big as Oblivion's -Children will be in the game, as well as dogs and party members you can pay to join you -Enemies are not leveled to your level like Oblivion was -You have to eat and drink to survive -Talents are just like the first two fallouts, level cap of 20 -Karma system is back, planned 9-12 endings depending on what you do -You can target specific body parts to cause issues, and enemies can do the same to you (Like Deus Ex) -Not many NPCs, mostly 100. However, characters will get more attention then the Oblivion NPCs. Radiant A.I. is also improved Personally, I am very hyped up about this. I know many fallout fans are bitching about this, but they are also some of the hardest to please fanboys out there.
Looks like there doing a great job and this will just be what the fans want I think. I like the idea of the way the characters father changes by the way you make your character at the begining and also ages. I think it will work.
I hear its going to be like Oblivion / Morrowind with guns in a post Nuclear Wasteland. Purists of the first two games already are saying it will suck, but I like the idea.
I'm a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series but I think Bethesda should stay true to Fallout's own style. I find this post-apocalyptic world really interesting as I'm a bit tired of the "Lord of the Rings" worlds and the 3rd person view is a nice touch.
Yeah. I guess hoping for isometric was just too much... I really like their style though, I think this is going to be great. Also, the Pipboy 3000 radio tuner sounds like a very effective tool for setting the right atmosphere, should they pull it off right!
