X-ray stuff is pretty popular nowdays because Mortal Kombat (2011), Mortal Kombat X and Sniper Elite. But this effects is old and i'm searching for the first one.

So far i remember Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven on Playstation 2 (2003) and Death by Degrees on Playstation 2 (2005).

I know Blitz The League had XRay hits in it, and that came out a long time ago.

Are we talking the simple use of X-Ray, or X-Ray fighting moves/actions? Fight Club also had X-Ray moves, but I doubt it was that early of an example.

It wasn't that great of a game. Mediocre at best. It's relatively fun, but only for a bit because of how clunky it is. Considering how great the movie was, the game was destined to disappoint. I guess it could have been worse, though. Also for the record, not a very big fan of MK's X-ray moves haha.

In that case, you can also add Fatal Fury to the list too.

I would consider the blanka attack different from all the others. Getting shocked and showing the skeleton has been in cartoons as long as I can remember.

Yes I know. I was just saying, that showing body with an inner skeleton is way to show an electric shock is happening. The bones aren't breaking etc. And this technique has been used in comics and cartoons from who knows how long. The electric shock attack is different from all the types of games listed here. The electricity is trying to show the skin being fried off. If blanka counts then I'd say anything with a skeleton in a game would count like... Aladdin, dugeon level.

But this is just my opinion. Whatever the op wants he can want.
