From Xbox-Scene (as always). http://pictures.xbox-scene.com/4/xbox360/x360_game3.jpg Paulo : WAY WAY TOO BIG... If it's anything like this I will crap my pants.
eh? Xbox or Xbox 2/360/pi/my mom? Why oh why do the continue with what looks like ass tastic crounds composed of bilboard or flat surfaces. --edit-- By the link now, i can see it says 360. Truthfuly I'm not very impressed yet.
Paulo, why too big? What's the problem with a big pic? It's what the topic is about. Wasn't even that big, it's like 1400x1200 ;-) Can't people use scroll bars?
lol, thats obviously pre rendered. No different than those movies of a supposed madden they havent made yet. But still, I can accept these as real pics, they arent blurry as hell like the controller pics.
Meh, you could do that on GameCube if you tried hard enough. As long as that is all you are rendering and there is no other power hungry bit's of code running as well, it's possible. Hell, look at those Toyota DC disks, there in black and white (so to speak) the best graphics ever seen on the DC... but... it's literally only the car being rendered, so you got the DC's whole system doing it. That quality running in a decently rendered world, along with 20 other cars the same quality, then I will be impressed. Oh yeah, and "real" tree's in the background, none of this tired, cheap "cardboard cutout" rubbish they still use.
look at the bunch of people behind the car at the first picture... they look like an teribble cut out. the car looks good but the rest YAGH!
Car looks good, but show me someone playing a console before i judge graphics, none of his rolling video shite
I'm impressed by the smoothness of everything. Christ, check out the detail level of the rims on the car!
they look good, but I also want to see it look that good with 20 cars on the track running at a smooth framerate.
Indeed. That's the issue that seems to plague today's systems....technically the visuals are impressive, but start getting too ambitious and the frame rate stutters. Hopefully we'll start seeing some consistent smooth frame rates as a norm in the new generation of gaming.
uhm its like 1744x1995 and i even have to scroll on my 23" lcd at 1920x1200 =) but who cares at least we have this picture =) but i would say its a pre render if iam not fully wrong someone checked the binary of the jpg and they found some text that its supposed for a cover (magazine or what ever) and no way xbox 360 will output 1744x1995 =) theres the info:
Both file size (think of those on 56k) and the fact some people still check this site on very old pcs...
Notice the "cardboard-cutout"ish people in the background. I don't think I've yet seen a racing game with a three-dimensional audience. That and the car would impress me.
Excellent screen cap if you ask me, even for a render. The car is fucking shiny and reflective--not fake reflective. hell, you can see the individual freaking grills on the front of the car! It looks real.
Two things to remember there is a site called xbox360 if i remember... (its an old site thought) and also the car looks to be a ferrari 360 modena/other. http://richard.quetand.free.fr/Salon%20Geneve%202000/Ferrari%20360%20Spider.jpg After some time on google.... the best shot to compare to. http://bestcars.free.fr/Mondial2002/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%202.jpg
this is probably only a render for a magazine cover its possible nextgen consoles display this detail ingame but i dunno until i have seen it ill stay with the x-files: trust no1
On the nose mate. Also, Xbox360.com seems to be dead. Don't know who it's registered too - too lazy to look.
