It's out and i got it... and i'm hooked! they made a really wonderful job in capturing the anime feeling and the models are perfect!

The game also plays much better and funnier than what the demo showed. Anyone else is enjoying it?

also what's wrong with those reviews? i'm starting to think that any professional review you can find online is 100% pure BS...

in short it seems just a silly game, but it grows on you a lot and will keep you entertained for hours (expecially if you're a completionist!)

Is that the Koei game that was released about 6 month back in Japan? If so then you'll soon bore of the game. It does capture the feel of the animation but it also looks very plain and drab. Games such as Enslaved or Fall Out 3 show that a barren wasteland can look good. Still, the cut scenes are very nice.

really? so far i'm half in ken's story mode and i'm 100% in and not bored... i hope it doesn't get too bad later!

how's the multiplayer? might help playing for longer.

concerning the environments being a little plain i tought it done on purpouse to look like the anime... Fallout 3 was way too nice and polished in that aspect :D

Repeative or not, the point is that not only it captures the feeling of the anime/manga it also attracts people who have no idea about the francise but they look for a badass, manly beat 'em up. In my opinion it's the best advertisement for the francise since lots of people think it's a brainless shonen anime/manga so they avoid it or they make false conclusion after watching 1-2 episodes only.

My only complaint is that it doesn't have the classic navigator of the anime. Oh well...

Hmm, I honestly didn't think it was a great game. Too stiff in places and a bit drawn out. Maybe the western version has been improved?

i heard there are a few gameplay tweaks, but i have no clue what they are at all...

in any case it's not a perfect game, but it's fun to play to me and i badly needed a time burner like this one :)

and sautzer is down too, now! go hokuto shinken!

I've been trying to remember why I never really liked the game and now I remember. For me it was far too liner. There were places I wanted to go to but the game just wouldn't let me :(

Hmm, sound slike the western release has been given a polish. I wonder if the japanese version will have an update? hmm, it might be worth picking up on the cheap 2nd hand.

I've been interested in getting this game, as I was a fan of the anime TV series. It's basically Dynasty Warriors, right?

Yeap. It's Dynasty Warriors on the Hokuto no Ken universe. Not something original but still entertaining and with great graphics and animation. And years before they made Dynasty Warriors with Gundam. I wonder which anime/manga francise is next. :p

i would say it's a step forward a standard DW game, but the basic is that one.

BTW, finished ken, toki, mamiya and rei's story... going through raoh's one... playing as raoh is great for nerves relaxing :D

    ps: Utta!
