So i got a 2nd dreamcast from a friend who had been messing arround with it and the lid won't open unless i physcally open it with my hands so i need some help in trying to fix this. What i need to know is how the following should be connectedwith each other: The silver spring from the bit at the back right (when lid is facing normal way up ) along with the black bit that is screwed in. Cheers, but its not the right bit i am looking at. its the actuall spring bit at the back of the lid which is not connected right and it means when i press the open button it doesn't open or sping up the lid like it should automattically. I can see where it should go but i just can't figure how it should be put on??
I believe i have it fixed after too many attempts i'd say 30+. What i never realised is that the spring needs to have the longer end bent round and then put into place which would allow it to spring automatically when the lid wasn't help down by the clip. All i gotta do now is plug it in and test it out see if it works ok.
