I have a RetroN 3, but it stopped working. Right now, it's in the box my refurbished replacement came in. A refurbished system that must have had a problem with the SNES SOAC, since mine won't work anymore, making it a RetroN 2. I have an SNES in the living room, a Super Retro Trio in my room, and a SupaBoy, so that's fine. Is there any way to fix what might be wrong with the old one, and use a cheap or even junk Famiclone for the pin slot and Famicom friendly SOAC? That way, I'd have a clone Nintendo Trio: NES, Famicom, and SNES. I know the RetroN 5 might be easier, but not for the bootleg carts I own. Emulators don't like bootleg ROMs that well. Best part is, most of the good Famiclone controllers are 9 pin, so the Genesis controller plugs would still work for the Famicom. Is this possible, or just a pipe dream?
