I searched and didn't see a thread for this, but please point me to one if I missed it.

Anyway, the bottom touchscreen of my DS (original model, NOT Lite) stopped being touch responsive. Whenever I tap on the screen, the system seems to think that I'm touch on the right edge of the screen. I've cleaned the screen and underneath the edges using Nintendo's support suggestions of getting a clean toothbrush to clean it.

Nintendo's support wouldn't fix it because the older model isn't supported, however, it sold me a refurb old DS for $70 + s/h.

So I have two DSes, but only one works. I'd like to fix the bottom if possible.

Note: This is all without taking the system apart. I don't have the security bit to take it apart, but would be willing to buy one if it means I can make this work again

Screen replacement on either DS is quite easy actually. Check ebay for both a nintendo screwdriver and a replacement screen. They can both be had very cheap. After disassembly you just insert 2 ribbon cables and reassemble. No soldering required.

Post back here if you need more help.
