Fixing Genesis Tengen games

The other day I started a thread mentioning I had a Dead Ms Pac Man but I realized, it's the Tengen curse.

So I was wondering in the required board swap could I use a Muramasa board to repair it?

 

The vias might be the problem. I fixed a Grind Stormer for a friend, where I removes the ROM chip and patched all the vias with a thin piece of wire. Soldered the chip back in and it worked perfectly.
