    Hey folks,

I just received a model 1 (front-loading) Sega CD, which unfortunately arrived a little on the broken side. In shipping the plastic that held the laser assembly pivot in place snapped off, and I'm not sure if anyone else had this happen but the fix was quite an easy one.

If you can see in the second image, I used a portion of a paper clip, along with some epoxy to emulate the job that the plastic piece was doing. This happened on both sides so I had to do this twice, but it works like new again :)

This is just a post for archival purposes, really... if case someone encounters this same issue and needs a quick fix. Once the problem was identified it took all of 10 minutes to fix (plus about a half hour for the epoxy to set) made from stuff sitting on my desk. Hurray!
