I've got a few Genesis carts that have the labels peeling off. I was considering just rubbing some glue on the back of the label and then trying to stick it back on to the cart, but I'm not sure of any effects that may cause, like if it will leave some sort of undesirable stain that looks like it's seeping through the back or something. Would ordinary glue be fine, or not?
I would advise you leave them as is until we can figure if it's a thermal glue or organic glue you can use steam to rewet. Can you take some pics on macro mode?
Only got a shitty cellphone, so no chance of any high-res pics, assuming that's what you mean by macro mode.
Pictures definately needed. Will be able to identify if they will restick if heated with a hairdryer.
Can't find any macromode on my cell. I'm completely lost on what there is to see, since I'd think all there is to see is a label By chance are there any websites that might show what it is you're looking for? Maybe I can go off of that to figure out what type of label it is.
I think they want to see the condition of the label. i.e. has it become worn around the corners and has grit and dirt accumulated underneath? If so, it may not be a good candidate for a simple re-heat, etc.
The part that's coming off is at the very top of the cart. Not easy to really get a shot underneath it since not so much of the label reaches up there. It does have a little bit of dust on it, but not much.
