I have a dilemma for you guys.

I just had a member PM me and tell me he has 4 start up wiis that he wants 'fixed'. He wants to turn them into fully functioning wiis and he needs my help.

So, my problem. I think that the consoles are a piece of history and should not be repaired.
However, I can't really afford to purchase them from him.
I don't want to be a jerk and tell him I won't help, but I don't think he should do what he is planning on.

    What do you guys think?
Piece of history that should be preserved or junk that needs to be fixed?

May as well fix them, there will be a day (yes a long way from now) where someone will say "where are all the Wii's" (PS it won't be me, but someone will lol).

I certainly wouldn't update them. I guess you could respectully inform him of why he shouldn't do what he's doing, but at the end of the day I guess the hardware is his to do as he pleases. Hell I'd swap him a retail Wii for one of his if a retail Wii is what he wants.
