I had a look at one of my Modbo5's that I have laying around. They are fitted with a MD25D80, that's a GigaDevice EEPROM. There are no datasheets online that I can find However I found a little info using a part number decoding chart: SPI interface flash 3V, 4kB uniform sector, dual output 8Mbit SOP8 (200mil) Industrial (-40°C to 85°C) Pb Free and Halogen Free I'm assuming the modbo 4 uses the same chip, could I simply dump the 4.0's eeprom and program that code back onto a 5.0? OR vice versa?! Just an idea really but I also like the 4.0 a little better as it has less features (none of this usb boot stuff, although that may be handy)
Want me to try it out? My programmer supports the chip. I have a modbo5 but don't seem to have a modbo 4 here.
