Hi I have some official Nintendo Flashcarts (the latest ones, not the big ones) for the GBA and would like to write software on them. I know that there are Flash Gang writers but I don't have the money for one. I can't even find one lol. Maybe there are other possibilities to write stuff on them? Any help is appreciated
I'm not sure if it's possible, but it'll suggest it anyway. I've got a unofficial flash cart that has no USB connection. I can flash games to it using a homebrew application for the DS. I can't recall what the program is called right now, and I'm unsure if it's relevant but if you have a DS and some kind of flash cart i'll find it for you.
Yeah I remember this application but I forgot the name of it. I have a DS and a flash cart so I could use this application. It would be cool if you can find it again for me. :icon_bigg
GBA ExpLoader was what the program was called. The blog of the guy who makes, his links seem to be down so here's one from GBAtemp. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4066 Hope it works.
Hm I guess that wasn't it. I saw a program ages ago which could write to F2A flash carts, can't find it though. This one didn't work for me :-( but thank you anyway.
All this stuff doesn't work with the latest AGB Flash Carts. Does really nobody have an idea how to flash them? :--(
There is no way to flash an official AGB flashcart unless you have the official hardware/software or you're willing to modify the AGB hardware to use with third party software. The stock Nintendo hardware will not work with third party software. -hl718
Unknown to most people the first gen AGB dev carts didnt have any dipswitches. But if you are talking about the ones with the GB/GBC style cartridges with a huge PCB sticking out the back, there should be a description on the front telling you how to position the switches for either 32 or 64Mbit. See image for reference if your cart(s) do not have the description: Shiggsy
