Flashing an Xecuter 2 chip by CD?

Just picked up a chipped xbox that needs to be flashed. I really don't know much about flashing a chip. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks

 

Just get a hexen disc made. You can flash it very easily with that.

 

Yeah, I burned the Hexen disc and popped it in the drive but nothing yet. I still keep getting this screen Cromwell 2.28

Oh Do you know which chip exactly it is? So we can figure out the correct bios size it needs?

 

Gotta use a BIOS meant for xbox version in question, and which is the same size as the selected memory bank (or resize a smaller BIOS to fit it).
Gotta use a CD or DVD the disc drive won't reject.
Gotta rename BIOS to 'bios.bin' before burning.
Gotta burn it as a data disc with a dummy file included.
Dummy file can be anything large. At least 100mb. If you have a 1 hour porn movie, that'll work fine.

foxbox pretty much laid it out for you. cromwell is looking for a bios to flash. So you need to put one on a dvd-r.

 

I'm just afraid I'll screw it up

 

Get someone else to do it if you're really that worried.

sounds like a duox x2 chip cromwell comes flashed from factory the web gui flashing program works awesome
just have the bios you want to flash on your desktop follow directions within cromwell and life is good dont for get to flip the bank select switch before you flsh the new bios so crom well can be used to recover a bad flash
