I got a fine example of this baby off a great seller here. Thing is info about it is seemingly thin on the ground. If people know about it, this will be the place. So please post up with any info you have. From my brief scout at the stuff it seems that it functions quite like an FM Towns. The TC bit seems to be to do with internet/networking capabilities. The brochures are all about a virtual village - whether this was an actual virtual village, or just an anology to inform the user as to what online capabilities/services it has I simply do not know. Any info appreciated. Thanks Outer Boxes The console itself - note the logo Some card thing Keyboard and printer The printer. The software case - lots of cds and fdd 'keys' inside Inside the case The village map ID Disc and CC
That looks amazing - indeed I have never seen one in so much detail before. Love the little case, members card, modem, it is all good! As for info, if you want to scan or take (a really close picture) or some of the japanese I could translate it for you. Just a thought. I really want to know more about this one as well.
That is... SO ... AWESOME. Warakia's Japanese is definitely two or three thousand kanji superior to mine, so I'll just patiently wait for his info on the scans - but I just wanted to say you're showing us AWESOME stuff.
From the sound of it, this village concept sounds like the old Apple E-World internet service from the early to mid 1990's...where the browser was more or less set up as a little town making navigation easy. Interesting though, I never knew something like this existed.
Wow, that's an amazing set-up you have there. There was a thread here a while ago about the Marty, as I was contemplating getting one. Anyhow, I've noticed your Marty has the strange expansion peripheral on the rear that was talked about in the thread (pics are gone now). At the time, we assumed it was to add a printer port and DB-15 Japanese monitor port (RGB Scart:icon_bigg), thus turning the Marty back into an FM-T 'PC'. So, um, yeah. The old thread is here, and I'd just like to know what ports that expansion jobbie has on it.
Ah, nice thread. Here's a link to an ok list. http://www.galstown.ne.jp/9/ongaku/jumpjump/fmt.htm I've added over 100 to it, and there seems to be plenty more games I'm seeing. Only about 60 I want thoughh:
