Aha, apparently the Canadian Post Office is on strike, so prices were unavailable and no packages can be sent until the strike is over.

With USPS there are two options:
USPS Priority Mail® International for 46.44$. This includes 100$ insurance and a delivery ETA of 6-10 business days.
USPS Express Mail International® (EMI) for 58.67$. This includes 100$ insurance, tracking and a delivery ETA of 3-5 business days.

The FedEx price to the UK was outrageous, so I didn't list it. But if you're still interested in it, then please let me know.

Totally, and not just the U.K. As someone who's bought/sold globally for many years, there's been a significant increase in shipping over the last couple of years for nearly every destination. Japan & Europe are one of the worst, with a ~50% increase from major vendors, esp. on paper materials! And shipping to South America isn't as cheap as it used to be. I think it has to do with the 2008 world financial crisis, energy crisis, increased international terrorism security and drastic increase in consumer online purchasing.

For shipping to the UK via USPS there are two options:
USPS Priority Mail® International for 80.05$. This includes 100$ insurance and a delivery ETA of 6-10 business days.
USPS Express Mail International® (EMI) for 110.50$. This includes 100$ insurance, tracking and a delivery ETA of 3-5 business days.

Yeah. Strange thing is, you'd think that more online international purchases would result in lower shipping prices, not higher. Combined with the loss of surface shipping a few years back, it's a right bastard to get anything heavier than a hardback book from the US.
