I hope that all members on Assembler who lives in Florida are safe and are prepared who Hurricane Irma and wish you good luck and hope you all stay safe and same to everyone who lives in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Mississippi, Kentucky, and all other states that are going to be affected as well.
SEEMS like it was another media over hyped storm and damage is minimal. Power is out, but power can be restored. Some Flooding but nothing that can't be fixed.
I had to watch News Coverage outside the United States to get the real story behind what was going on.
Same I got burned out on the same generic headlines.; Is Trump colluding with a turkey sandwich?, Is that fat kid in North Korea going to play well with others? Geneic race baiting news with racist Van Jones and are you captivated in fear? More on these topics and others at 11. Stay tuned.

My local ABC station was going non-stop about Irma on the air... They even had crews out there the entire time and no commercials... Everything is ok where I'm at in Florida. Lot's of debris, broken limbs, and a couple of trees down but nothing major. We lost power, water pressure, and even cell service. Everything came back but the water isn't safe to drink (but safe to shower according to the local government :/) and cell service is spotty at best. Forget trying to get online via cellular data. There's some flooding around my area but none near me. EDIT: Cell service is back to normal. Cellular data works as well. Not sure about the water but it is safe to shower with.
glad everyone is safe from the storm it was overhyped by a lot but where I live I think 300,000 people were without power and still are without power.
Water is now safe over here. We lost power for an hour earlier but it came back on. It wasn't over hyped, it was a hurricane. They should not be taken lightly. These storms, even as a Cat1 or Tropical Storm, are deadly and can cause serious damage. I wasn't around for Andrew but I was here for the 2004 season. I was only about 8 but I still have some memories of it. It was bad that year.
No regrets on the amount of time I spent packing away all my gaming stuff in preparation for the worst. Power finally came back on late yesterday (west of Tampa). My DS and GBA Everdrive kept me from going insane from boredom on those hot and humid nights. I feel sorry for my poor truck batteries though. They kept my phone and and other necessities charged at all times.
