For Sale: PC Engine CoreGrafx Unit

Discussion in 'The ASSEMblergames Marketplace' started by Greatsaintlouis, Oct 31, 2004.

  1. Since my SuperGrafx arrived the other day, I really don't have enough space to keep my faithful PC Engine unit around, and since I'm a bit short on cash, I figured I could cash in on mine.

What I'm selling is a grey PC Engine CoreGrafx, the type with blue lettering, and that's it. As my SuperGrafx came loose, I am using all the leads and controllers that I had to aquire for the PC Engine on the SuperGrafx. That said, parts aren't too hard to come by - the PCE takes the TurboGrafx AC adaptor if you have one of those and are looking for an import solution, and uses a Commodore 64 A/V cable.

The unit is not in perfect condition, but it's not bad. It functions perfectly every time, and cosmetically it's not bad. Yakumo snagged it for me from a junk bin in Hard Off, so you can imagine there's a little dirt/wear on it, but the majority was scrubbed off by me and it was given a thorough dusting inside and out.

I'm looking for $45 shipped in the US, and $50 or so shipped outside, depending on where you live. Please post here or PM if interested! :smt023

Shuttle? Fancy??? Shuttle is the ghettoest model released. It was built to be an economy PCE.

Yeah, but it looks cool :smt042 Oh, btw the Shuttle is not ghetto, it's "refined".

  8. Err, how do you mean like Panasonic Q or Wondermega? If you're meaning one that plays both the HuCard games and CDs, then you'd be wanting a Turbo Duo/PC Engine Duo - be prepared to pay through the nose for a decent one on eBay, or hope and pray for a pawn shop find or a good deal in a trade or something.

nfgman has a turbo duo R.

Oh and evangelion. I'd recommend you get a PCEngine from NFGMan. He has a few in stock and includes all the cables and 3 games (he promises they won't suck and I trust him). The reason I want this one is because I have all the hook ups already, just no games which will be taken care of. I'm not trying to defer you from GSL. Heck, if you want it, then buy it cuz I can, too, get one from NFGman.

Heres a link to his site.

Just be prepared to pay some major shipping fees. I bought a Saturn from him a while back, EMS shipping to the US = $70. The system itself was $80. Good service though, he's very reliable.

  11. Anyone interested? It's going up on eBay later today if I have no takers here.

Can you throw in some crappy HuCards? I might be interested if I could actually play games on it :smt043

  13. To be honest, I sadly don't have any I can spare. :smt009 However, with no controller or hookups, lack of games is probably the least of your worries. If it's any consolation, loose Hucards can be found pretty easily on eBay...

Wait, don't you already have a PCE? :smt043

Yes, hence I am wondering if you have any games ;-)
(sadly, I *still* haven't found a proper PSU for my IU)

Take note that it requires 850mA or more, the PCE is a very fussy console about power.

  16. Duly noted and included in auction text.

You have the region listed as NTSC (US Canada). If it's a PC Engine, then you might want to change that. ;-)
