Will this allow you to send the same signal to two different monitors at the same time? I have one that says you can but it doesn't. One monitor is always black with audio only. Also does your box have s-video in and out?

I have the same box and love it. It is basically an 8-in, 1-out switch. All eight ports have S-Video.

Bummer  I need a switch box that can output to two monitors at the same time. Why are these things so hard to find_?

No they don't. It uses physical relays to move the signal around, you can hear them in the thing while you're using it. I don't think you can make it remote but if you're really that lazy I'd question your motives.

The unit is great though, truth be told I probably need to get another one.

Yeah, thought about that but a splitter looses some signal power when going to the PC. Never mind though because i hacked a JVC switch box with a bit of wire, solder and transistor to boost the signal. now I have a very nice switch box splitter  Makes doing Retro Core far easier.

PS: Sorry for the thread jack, neomatrix. At least it gets bumped to the top again
