I doubt many could care less but it seems Nintendo have dropped the MSX emulation for the Virtual Console and gone with Master System. The first game went up last night. The problem is that the first game is the ultimate piss poor Fist of the North Star. Still, at least the wonderful Glay Lancer was added to the Mega Drive section  Yakumo
It's probably due to the popularity of the One-chip MSX garnering new attention - all the other VCs are discontinued systems. Whilst Europe got the MSX in the 80s, the VC in Europe never had MSX support as far as I was aware, so we always had SMS on ours. Still, a shame to our JP friends who cared.
I was looking forward to some MSX action but now I'm stuck with Master System. Not that I have anything against the Master System, in fact I enjoy many games on that but the thing is that I was waiting for Metal gear 1 and 2 on the MSX. Looks like I'll have to play them on my phone now Yakumo
Does this include all the western Master System releases or just the very few MarkIII titles that were available in Japan? Will there be an MS-service be available for the West as well, anything announced?
One chip msx? I've never heard of such a thing. Is the compatibility any good, and where can I find more info?
