A question about the Type X: how difficult is it to install other games on it? Is it possible at all?

 

it is very easy, its just a normal HDD

Type-X is a great system, i had my doubts about it but to be honest it really impressed me alot with its user friendliness!

if you concider selling/trading the boxes and stuff around the system and IO let me know

btw do you have a translation of the menu system?, maybe the language is changeable even??

 

Two more questions about the Type X. Can you use it without an arcade cabinet? I see that there are VGA and DVI ports in the back. Can you use a standard gamepad with it? Also, is it possible to upgrade it so that it's compatible with Type X+ games?

you can use it with a supergun without any problem. (thast what i`m doing right now , supergun + neo geo joyboards)

the vga port is for 15khz and the dvi for 31khz output.

I'm somewhat interested in the Type X. What are you looking to trade for? Just off the top of my head I have a Microsoft HD-DVD drive and an MVS board that I'd be willing to trade. Tell me if those interest you, or whatever else you're looking for.

no ofcourse not, but if you mod the I/O to a gamepad you might get it to work that way the only thing you would need to the I/O apart from the controls should be +5V...
