Thanks so much for them pictures Funk Buddy rayer: From the looks of the final disc Sega were really stuggling to find anything worth while for it Are all the videos in MPEG? Have you tried them with the video card yet? I'm going to get my Hi-Saturn out when the wife goes to bed to try them. Can't do it now because she's taken over the TV with some Japanese crap about "TV Talents" stuffing their faces with food. GaijinPunch will know just what I'm talking about. Feel my pain bro ! Yakumo
Thanks! Most of the Segata stuff (and the subway station ads) were also on earlier discs. Still, good stuff
I'll check to see if they are MPEG. I don't have the video card believe it or not. I just have not picked one up yet.
I just checked disc 4 in the Hi-Saturn and they are compatable with the MPEG card. This is great news because now I can just capture the Dreamcast tech demo through my Video card since the MPEG on the Dreamcast looks quite nice. Yakumo
I have the first four of those. The videos on the first four are *.tm files. I tried playing them in a True Motion player though, and got nowhere. I asked you about this a while ago Yakumo... probably a year ago. I eventually abandoned the idea of ripping the video direct from the CD. They're in the stack of "things to add" to the site. Maybe I'll get around to that this weekend.
No, they aren't True Motion files. They are CRI MPEG Sofdec files (SFD) as used on Dreamcast games and a hand full of Saturn games. Take a look at the mark on the back of the discs. Somebody else thought that the files were True Motion too which have a avi extrention. Maybe Sega made two versions of the discs. One for MPEG cards and anither in True Motion. The MPEG files will play on a standard Saturn witha frame rate of about 15fps so as you can gues they look a little jerky without the MPEG Card. THe Sakura Taisen Steam Radio disc is like this too.
